The workshop is organize to present the ongoing research of the international research program ”Early Monasticism and Classical Paideia” led by Professor Samuel Rubenson, Lund University. The researh program will be introduced by me and then the members of the research team will present their ongoing work in order to stimulate a discussion on the reception of classical paideia in early Eastern monasticim.
