Thomas Humphries - Prosper's Pneumatology: the development of an Augustinian

This paper will argue that Prosper’s understanding of Augustine’s pneumatology develops as Prosper matures. Using current scholarship on Prosper’s career and texts, this paper shows that Prosper originally did not understand the role of the Holy Spirit in Augustine’s arguments about grace. However, later in his career, Prosper made the Holy Spirit a central focus of his theology of grace.
