Research on the Pseudo-Dionysian Corpus has advanced much in the past
years. The aim of this panel is to gather together some of the
prominent specialists working on this subject and to organise a lively
debate between them, in which they would present their most recent
research. These scholars have known each other for long, they have
responded to each other in writing but this is the first time that all
of them will be in one panel in Oxford to present their views to each
other, discuss them and give direct feedback on the controversial
points. Contributors to the panel will treat both the philosophical and
the theological aspects of the Corpus.
Here is the list of those who have accepted to participate in the panel, with the agreed titles.
1. Ysabel de Andia: "La théologie trinitaire de Denys l'Aréopagite"
2. Andrew Louth: "Hierarchy and Love in Dionysios the Areopagite"
3. Filip Ivanovic: "The Beauty of the Cosmos according to Dionysius"
4. Emiliano Fiori: "A Balanced Christology? The Strange Synthesis of Dionysius the Areopagite"
5. Ernesto Sergio Mainoldi: "The Invention of the First Father: Dionysius the Areopagite"
6. José-Maria Nieva: "El sentido místico de la experiencia estética en Dionisio Areopagita"
7. György Geréby: "Pseudo-Dionysius on the Theology of History"
8. Istvan Perczel: "Proclus Paraphrased in the Pseudo-Dionysian Corpus and in the Pseudo-Didymian De trinitate"
