David Taylor: Rufinus the silversmith's miaphysite refutation of Leontius of Jerusalem: A rediscovered Syriac text

A sixth-century miaphysite layman named Rufinus the silversmith wrote a christological refutation of Leontius of Jerusalem in seventeen chapters, with numerous citations of his opponent's works. At a later time this work was translated into Syriac, and a single manuscript of this text has recently been rediscovered. This communication will present this text for the first time, and assess its importance.
