Pedro Daniel Fernandez: School of souls: the eternal teaching-learning process in Origen's theology

The objective of this paper will be to analyze the scope of the expression "schools of souls" Prin II. 11.6. Indeed Origen says that: "I think that each one of the saints, leaving this life, will remain in a certain place located on the earth that the Scripture calls" paradise ", as a certain place of instruction, or, as it were, a classroom or a school of souls, in which they will be enlightened about all those realities they had seen on earth.” Our main objective will be to show that the role of the educational process in Origen's theology is so important that it even includes the possibility that intellectual creatures continue their learning beyond physical life. In this sense, the hypothesis that will sustain this presentation will be the following: "The eternal presence of the Son guides all the stages of existence through which intellectual creatures or νοές pass (pre-existence or first creation, second creation and celestial places, caelestia loca) and at the same time the intellectual creatures continue their learning during all these stages." This question will also be analyzed in the Homily of Numbers.
